@stinkpalm There are a couple of FATEs in the immediate area. It's possible that you're completing http://xivdb.com/fate/610/The-Enemy-of-My-Enemy / http://xivdb.com/fate/611/The-Enmity-of-My-Enemy, whereas this Beastman Quest needs http://xivdb.com/fate/691/A-Wrench-in-the-Works. If you have been doing the latter and not getting the http://xivdb.com/item/7002/Proto-Armor-Identification-Key in your inventory, the only thing I can think is either you're not getting a high enough rating or that your inventory is full (it appears in main inventory and not Key Items).
