March has been such a busy month. Netflix binging, playing some other games and spending time with family. I've been quite side tracked in other stuff over the past few weeks and so I focused on the site code, cleaning some stuff up, doing a bunch of server work, ensuring things stay live! Also fixed a couple bugs (thank you for reporting feedback!)
So major backend improvements, I've been working with translators to get the site much easier to translate. There is also Chinese coming!
I have also been working on improving my data extraction and site patch method. Right now a lot of tasks were manually driven, extract files from game, copy them somewhere, do this, do that, import, dump database, import on live, etc etc. It's a long process list.
For Patch 3.25 I massively improved this so I most of it is automated which saves me a lot of time, it also means I can do comparison tracking. So expect to see very specific changes for stuff per patch (I will be able to go back to 3.0) and show what changed specifically each patch :D
Another benefit is it has given me time to import new data that has been missing, stuff like airship crafting data and fix a lot of positional data now that I have a good formula (big thanks to Clorfiex from GarlandDB!)
The next couple site updates will be focusing on game data, I will also be improving the map functionality significantly (separating it from game files)
Hope you are all enjoying 3.25!
